What are current liabilities, and can you give some examples?

Current liabilities are obligations that a company needs to settle within the next three months. These are debts or amounts owed to others that are due soon and show a company’s ability to meet its immediate payment requirements. Examples include accounts payable (money owed to suppliers for goods or services), accrued liabilities (expenses that have been incurred but not yet paid), and short-term debt (loans that need to be paid within a year).
